Trinket listening to a Story
"Mary Kay Hasseman comes prepared with lessons developed to fit the needs of each student. Trinket visits Birkes hearing impaired and special education students and enjoys "socializing" with the children as they pet and groom her. According to Birkes' counselor Deidre Johnson, since visiting the school, they have seen improvement in students' writing and language skills. especially for the hearing impaired students."
"Trinket does something phenomenal for our Birkes family. The students light up when she comes and dream of her next visit when she leaves. She has become a valuable member of our school environment, and students have grown in many ways. Trinket may be miniature in size; however, her visits provide a giant impact on our children, helping develop life long skills!"
